Alchemancer
A robed Alchemancer on a fortress battlement weaves five chained ribbons of glyph blocks into the dusk sky while stone golems haul glowing crystals up the cliff path; a rival fortress burns red on the far ridge.

Fortress Ashcrown · The Ninth Reagent War

Every spell is a program.
Write a deadly one.

Harvest raw reagents. Chain them like code. Ember into vitriol into a two-second fuse makes a corroding firebomb. Bone meal into quicksilver into aether makes a golem that flies. Across the valley, the Alchemancer of is writing one too.

How a war is won

I

Harvest

Golems mine the valley for reagents: ember, vitriol, storm glass, bone. Every vein is contested. Every hauler is a target.

II

Chain

Reagents are code blocks in disguise. Snap them together freely. Each one transforms what came before: an element, a fuse, a split, a body, a pair of wings.

III

Unleash

Hurl the spell, brew it into a buff, or pour it into a golem. Your Alchemancer is safe inside the fortress, until it isn't. Kill theirs and the war is over.

The reagent bench

Tap reagents to chain them (up to six, twelve mana). Tap a link to remove it. Then cast at Cindermaw's walls. Their ward blocks half of anything that doesn't fly over it. Some combinations are forbidden. Find them.

    Choose a reagent to begin.

Cindermaw's walls stand at full strength.

A candlelit alchemist's bench: glowing reagents in a row wired together with copper coils, an hourglass, a clay golem figurine, a bleached bone and an open book with blank pages.

    Golems are spells with legs

Chain bone meal and the spell gets a body. Everything after it becomes a trait: quicksilver for speed, aether for flight, gloam to vanish, ember to make its fists burn. Your workers and your army are the same thing, written differently.

A great stone golem kneels in a torchlit courtyard as ribbons of orange, green, blue and violet light wind into the cracks of its chest while hooded apprentices watch.
